Every app adapts. Roen tells you if the goal is real.
Most training apps now change the plan when your week changes. Fewer tell you, before the block starts, whether your goal time is within reach, or explain each change they make. Here is where Roen differs, and where others are ahead.

What Roen does differently
Four things we did not find on any rival's pages.
01
A verdict before you start
Goal readiness scores your goal on Pace and Durability against your history and the course, then says what to change if it is out of reach: a slower goal, a later race, or the half-marathon instead.
02
A reason for every change
When a run is missed the week is re-solved, the missed work is dropped or moved to days with room, never crammed, and the plan says why.
03
Pain handled as a protocol
A debrief that mentions pain asks how bad it is first. A niggle opens a few protected easy, flat days that end early when it clears.
04
The method is published
The methodology explains how the engine reasons and cites the research behind each step, so you can check where a number comes from.

What Roen does not do yet.
If one of these matters most to you, another product may suit you better today.
A phone app and the workout on your watchPlanned
Runna, TrainAsONE, Athletica, Garmin
Roen is a web app. Your watch still records every run through Strava, but the session is not pushed to the wrist. Phone apps and sending the session to your watch are on the way.
Direct Garmin, Polar and Apple Health connectionsPlanned
Runna, TrainAsONE, Athletica
Roen reads your runs through Strava only. Connecting straight to Garmin, Polar and Apple Health is on the way.
Sleep, HRV and power
Garmin, TrainAsONE, Athletica
Roen reads the runs you upload to Strava and what you tell it in a debrief, not the recovery metrics a watch collects overnight.
Ultra, trail and strength
Runna, TrainAsONE, Athletica
Roen is built for the marathon and half-marathon on the road, with 5k and 10k plans too. It has no ultra or trail plans and no strength library.
A long track record
Runna, Garmin
Roen is a private alpha. Its thresholds are calibrated on a small group of athletes and on backtests, and it says so.
