How it works

One plan, re‑solved every time you run.

Roen builds a marathon or half-marathon block from what you have actually run, then keeps it honest: every run, missed day and note you leave changes what comes next. Here is the whole loop, from the first sync to the week after your race.

  1. 01

It starts from your own running

Connect Strava and Roen reads your past runs, read-only: your threshold pace, the kilometres you hold week to week and your longest recent run. No Strava? Tell it a recent race and your usual week, and it starts from that.

  2. 02

It tells you if the goal is realistic

Pick a race, a date and a goal time. Before the block starts you see its goal readiness, built from two sub-scores, Pace and Durability: on track, a stretch, or out of reach. If the goal is beyond what the weeks you have can build, the plan says so and shows the time you can train for.

  3. 03

    Every run has a job

Each day carries one session with a purpose and a pace worked out from your threshold: easy, tempo, intervals, long run or race pace. The block moves through base, build and peak, then tapers into race week.

  4. 04

    It re‑plans around real life

Each synced run updates your training load and tomorrow's session. A missed run re‑solves the coming days: a missed workout moves to a later day that has room for it, a missed long run is let go rather than squeezed in, nothing is piled onto the weekend, and the app tells you what changed and why. A run cut short is not chased: the plan does not add the missing kilometres back. You can also move a session, swap it, or describe your own to the coach.

  5. 05

It listens to how you feel

After a run, leave a debrief in a sentence; the coach reads it against the session you were given. Tell the coach about a cold or a busy week and the days ahead change the way they do for a missed run. If you mention pain, Roen asks how bad it is first, and only then protects the days ahead with easy, flat running.

  6. 06

Race week, and the weeks after

The taper and race week are planned day by day, with a finish-time projection from the volume you actually held. After the race you get a recovery block, then maintenance until you set your next goal.
